This is me…
Born in Essex, England (yes, I am an Essex girl!) in the glorious mid 1960s I have always felt that life is for living … having fun, playing big, loving wholeheartedly, going on adventures and filling yourself up with whatever turns you on. That was easy in my 20s … but now later in life, with hubby and kids and mortgage and responsibilities in toe, I realised I had allowed my own light to dim, was no longer living true to my own values and I wanted, and in fact needed to change.
I wanted a way to reconnect with projects and people that lit me up, but do it in a way that was gentle, achievable, profitable and not overwhelming. Having spent many a weekend cheering on my children at netball, rugby, athletics and rowing I knew that I wanted to get off the sidelines and into the game of my own life, complete with my own cheer squad. I needed a support crew to live my best life and I wanted to help other women achieve that too.
Our purpose in life is simply to be the best version of ourselves and then help our children, partners and loved ones to do the same. When women truly live their best lives everyone benefits. I also believe we need more opportunities for connection and community and definitely more opportunities to play. Clearly a girl guide at heart … I want to help women gather around camp fires, sing songs, declare big audacious wishes, see them come to fruition and see their confidence and sense of fun expand.
Words to live by….
“We need to be the women we want our daughters to be.” Brene Brown
“Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else.” Judy Garland
My professional stuff (if you need it)
After graduating from University in England and then working my way around America I settled into a long 20 year career in PR, marketing and communications with top consultancies and blue-chip corporates. When it became too hard to juggle shoulder pads, long commutes and two children I started my first work from home venture with my own video production company. However, my love for things creative and visual was regularly undermined by the lack of an IT help desk and a growing sense that being a solo-entrepreneur wasn’t for me. Today, I get to combine my love of marketing, branding and business development in a totally new model of tribal entrepreneurship … exploring new ways to live, learn and make money with a tribe of soul sisters.

This is me…
A born and raised Kiwi girl, living in Sydney, married to my best friend with our three awesome kids that keep my feet squarely planted on the ground every day. My passion is to connect women to each other…this juices me every single day and is hard wired in my DNA! Bringing like-minded women together to bring the best out in each other is the stuff that makes my soul sing. Enter Best Life Tribe….my intention is to create a space where women can come together and thrive – thrive in all they are already and thrive in all they desire.
….that many together makes for more fun, more love, more abundance, more laughter and a brighter life. With all that you only discover more of YOU and what makes you shine – full blast sparkling all over the damn place, living your best life, and I believe the world needs more of us shining our brightest light to lift up and serve more people and make this world a better place for everyone. I believe in being grateful for the everyday day moments that make our lives so rich…kisses, laughter, friendship, our health, our circumstances. We have so much.
Words to live by….
“You cannot get sick enough to help sick people get better. You cannot get poor enough to help poor people thrive. It is only in your thriving that you have anything to offer anyone. If you’re wanting to be of an advantage to others, be as tapped in, tuned in and turned on as you can possibly be.” Esther Abraham-Hicks
My professional stuff (if you need it)
Professionally speaking, I was once in hospitality – both operations and teaching after studying in Switzerland (yes I love a good party & cooking for those near & dear to me). I then regrouped and spent years in senior HR management. I have juggled 3 preschoolers and a corporate career…some days better than others! Those days taught me many things but my biggest take away was knowing I had to find a smarter way to generate an income that wasn’t dependant on my time or my efforts alone. There had to be a better way.

I have dreamed of finding my purpose. I am closer. To serve. To be free. To write. To feel light in my bones. To continue fuelling my passion for living a big life outside of the square. True to my values.
I am a part time writer and full time dreamer. A recent career change from Chartered Accountant to health nerd and freedom seeker has brought me closer to my purpose of serving others. A long term love affair with Africa and an incurable dose of wanderlust has taken my family of five to far flung corners of the globe. I like to listen to the whisperings of my heart, spend time at the beach with my family, juice veggies, nourish my loved ones, be outdoors, feel grateful and hang out with my husband who is the funniest person I know. He has been the way shower for me in living a self-approved life.

One of my favourite quotes is by Ruth Edwards – “When you follow your heart, you will find your voice and a world of opportunity will then be there to greet you”.
It took me a while to find my own voice but it’s hard to shut me up now! Through my search for alternative ways to help my eldest son with his asthma, I was introduced to products that work and an enlightened approach to improving and maintaining our precious health. Good health is multi-faceted and a critical part of it involves feeling happy, confident and worthy in ourselves and in our own community, so being able to connect and collaborate with other women to have fun and learn from each other is invaluable.
Downtime is spent with family, friends and great food which my lovely husband likes to cook in abundance and a good book is never far away for those quiet moments.
Best Life to me means loving life and living it with purpose and integrity and I’m so proud and grateful to be working (and playing) with a tribe of dynamic, inspiring and creative women who are passionate about what they do.

My passion around creating and living in a state of optimal health, preventing disease and sharing information on this subject is what I love to do more than anything else. This passion was born many years ago in learning how to best support my husband Michael, who has Coeliac Disease and related Dermatitis and has done since the early 90’s. This journey around pursuing our best health for Michael & I and our two boys is all inclusive… from our food choices, finding ways to reduce our toxicity exposure, how we exercise, the supplements we use, what we put on our skin, how we de-stress…all of it! It is my intention to share what I have learnt with others to help them get in their own groove of wellness and optimal, vibrant health.
Not only does being part of Best Life Tribe provide me with a place to continue to learn, grow & share all these health nuggets, it has given me the most amazing opportunity to create so much more abundance in my life, the life of my family and the lives of others.
The safe space, the connection, the community, the love and support is invaluable and has been instrumental in helping me show up in my life and be the Best Me!

In a nutshell that’s who I am.
A creative being who thinks a lot and likes to discuss and explore new ideas.
I firmly believe it’s how we choose to navigate our lives where the gold is found. My guiding principles are faith, love, trust and gratitude. My compass points are Action, Choices, Shine and Grow.
I work with stamps because they embody my love of colour, paper, travel and connection with people. I write my blog to inspire my readers to think a little differently and experience life more fully.
Walking part of the Camino de Santiago in 2012 was a game changer. In creating my best life that experience is a constant affirmation that dreams can come true when there is every reason to doubt, you just have to stay the course.
Retro maybe but dinner parties give me a buzz. Hosting a welcoming table that says ‘you are special thank you for joining us’. Not much beats that sound of laughter amongst friends sharing stories and themselves.
